Gifts And Prizes For Party Fun

Sweet dreams are laced with thoughts of gifts and prizes. Not a day goes by in the life of a child without the bewildering wish for things that they don’t have. The situation is exacerbated when adults send them to birthday parties carrying gifts intended for someone else who is getting many such things.

That is why the perfect birthday party includes gifts and prizes for the enjoyment of all the guests. These can include certificates, ribbons or small toys. Keeping the age of the party guests in mind it may be possible to award music CD’s from the bargain table or similar nicer but not expensive things.

Children of elementary school age or younger, are really thrilled by a prize won in a simple game of skill or chance. The gifts and prizes for these need not be extravagant or elaborate. It needs only be the sort of thing that gives the imagination of a child room for expression. Young girls love fruit scented perfumes in tiny bottles. Young boys love to collect tiny toy cars in a variety of styles.

The activities can be even simpler than games. The gifts and prizes can be sealed in goody bags and placed in a toy box or other receptacle. Guests could then draw numbers from a hat or fish bowl. The guests could then go in order of higher to lower, for instance, to pick out a grab bag.

Prizes and gifts might be part of a scavenger hunt. Give guests a list of things to find in the recreation room or yard that have numbers on the bottom that correspond to items used as gifts and prizes. Make sure that no two lists are in the same order so that everyone doesn’t head to the same item at the same time.

How to Make a Birthday Gift Basket for Teens

Other than music or fashionable modern clothing, finding a gift for teenagers is not an easy task, but when it comes to the World’s Finest Chocolates, it is more likely you have found another passion shared for most teens.

Hershey chocolate is the favorite of most young people, but one in particular; “kisses” is the famous small silver-wrapped chocolate and golden when they come with almonds.

These miniature chocolates are ideal as Christmas Gifts, as well as useful for creating a Birthday Gift Basket full of plenty of them, although you can use Ghirardelli chocolate, LifeSavers, Bubblicious or any other that you know the teen will enjoy.

Making a birthday gift basket is easier that you can imagine. The easiest way is purchasing those baskets that already come with the World’s Finest Chocolates, but if you want to make a real special present, buy a handmade basket and fix it with chocolates while using best of your crafting skills.

Depending on your skills, you can also make an artistic basket with Ghirardelli chocolate for baking. There are several online courses, as well as printed recipes in magazines, or lessons with video’s teaching you how to elaborate artistic chocolate and candy works, ideal for Christmas Gifts.

Even being a novice in the kitchen, making a birthday gift basket can become a rewarding challenge, and a way to say how much you love your teens. Not only kisses Hershey chocolate is available in a large array of presentations, including different shapes, sizes and flavors.

Decide if you are going to model your own birthday gift basket, or if you prefer to get one from the store, especially when the birthday occurs at the time when you have to prepare your Christmas Gifts as well.

There is a wide variety of decorative handcrafted baskets to choose from, just as there is a vast variety of World’s Finest Chocolates to use. If the basket has enough room, put inside another presents such as a few CDs, cosmetics, miniature cars for collectors or whatever your teens like most.

Ribbon, lace or bows are optional because teens are temperamental and only you can determine the impact of this type of decoration in their mood. For Christmas Gifts it is more acceptable to use all types of ornaments, but if the birthday and Christmas occur on the same day, do no forget to include a greeting card to specify that this basket is a birthday present instead.

In such case, do not forget keeping extra Hershey chocolate and Ghirardelli chocolate in the kitchen because teenagers like chocolate, and they may claim more as a Christmas gift.

Dance the Sock Hop into the 50’s

A 50’s theme party is a fun way to celebrate a birthday, a retirement or a corporate event. In the 50’s sock hops, convertible cars and music were becoming increasingly popular. Use these or any other symbol from the 1950’s to use in your celebration.

To invite your guests, get invitations from a party supply store. They can come in shapes or with classic cars, poodle skirts, fuzzy dice or a jukebox. Other party supplies can coordinate and include plates, cups, napkins and tablecloths. Balloons and crepe paper can come in matching themes or colors too. These supplies can be found at any party supply store.

If you have room, set up like a sock hop. Tell guests to come in wardrobe from the 50’s like poodle skirts, jeans rolled up and slicked back hair. Use ribbons in your hair or even wear bobby socks and shoes if you can find them. Play music only from the 50’s and dance the night away.

Games to play during a 50’s theme party include a sock hop-a-thon. See who can dance the longest. Play 50’s style trivia. Make categories of events that happened during the 50’s like sports, movies, music, tv and inventions. Make up questions or simply see who can list the most for each category. Winner can get personalized fuzzy dice or a record with their name on it. Hand out posters of famous people from the day.

Other activities to do during a 50’s theme party can be impersonations. Use charades or hire a performer to act like famous people. See who can guess the most or has the best acting ability. Have fun with it! Take pictures and put into a scrapbook to remember the fun event. Send coordinating thank you notes if gifts were exchanged.

My 8 year old son and 10 year old daughter are hooked on these toys! We got some on vacation and they played with them constantly! My daughter has not been on Webkinz in a week! Neat collectable toys and they enjoy making up their own games and races with them. Too hard for them to play the gamecard/games designed for the toy though. Toy durable in spite of being thrown on hard surfaces from time to time. Very hard to find in stores in Chicago area though!

I bought this for my son because he wouldn’t stop talking about it. I first checked every Walmart and Toys ‘R Us in toy and couldn’t find a starter or battle pack. They are cute little toys and the game is decently fun for an adult, but the kids are crazy over it. They won’t stop playing. My son (almost 6) hasn’t touched a video game, watched tv, or played with any other toys since he got it. He just spends all his free time with his Bakugan (haven’t decided if this is good or bad).

Kind of expensive but really good positive reinforcement tools. they will do just about anything for these things.

What a neat toy! My son loved it. The game is based on the tv show and the kids love to play and trade toys & cards.
THe only problem is that you can not buy a specific item for collection purposes and must accept what is packaged.
This item is sold out in every store we looked at. Amazon had the best on line price.

Son loves the bagukan and the sets are far more interesting. The toy is too small and fragile for a small child, but very acceptable for the 10 yrs old.
